The Covert Collection Gallery and New Jersey Isn’t Boring are excited to announce a collaborative photo contest aimed at celebrating the beauty and diversity of New Jersey through photography. The contest seeks to engage photographers of all ages and skill levels to capture the unique essence of New Jersey, whether it's its vibrant landscapes, iconic landmarks, or hidden gems. The contest will highlight the state's diverse scenery and communities, showcasing the artistic talent found within our state.

Eligibility

• The contest is open to photographers of all ages.

• All submitted images must have been taken in New Jersey.

• Submissions are open to both amateur and professional photographers.

• Employees and immediate family members of The Covert Collection, New Jersey Isn’t Boring, and the contest sponsors are not eligible to enter.

• There is no fee to enter the contest.

Entry Period

• The entry period will begin on 4 Sept 2024 and end on 18 Sept 2024.

• All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM EST on the closing date.

Entry Submissions

• Each participant may submit one image via Instagram

• Entrants must be following both @newjerseyisntboring and @thecovertcollectiongallery

• Tag both @newjerseyisntboring and @thecovertcollectiongallery on Instagram

• Use the #hereismynj

• Submissions must include a brief description of where the image was taken and what it represents about New Jersey.

• By submitting an image, participants grant The Covert Collection Gallery and New Jersey Isn’t Boring the rights to use the images for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, and exhibition displays.

Judging and Prizes

• A panel of jurors selected by The Covert Collection Gallery and New Jersey Isn’t Boring will judge all entries based on creativity, originality, technical quality, and relevance to the theme.

• Public votes will not determine the winners.

• The top entries will be awarded as follows:

  • 1st Place: $75 gift card to Unique Photo, the image featured on social media and displayed at The Covert Collection Gallery for 3 weeks.

  • 2nd Place: $50 gift card to Unique Ph the image featured on social media and displayed at The Covert Collection Gallery for 3 weeks.

  • 3rd Place: $25 gift card to Unique Ph the image featured on social media and displayed at The Covert Collection Gallery for 3 weeks.

  • Honorable Mentions (2): Images featured on social media and displayed at The Covert Collection Gallery for 3 weeks.

• All winners and honorable mentions will be invited to an opening reception at The Covert Collection Gallery, where their work will be showcased. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
