THE COVERT COLLECTION GALLERY

"The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera" - Dorothea Lang

Welcome to The Covert Collection Gallery, a distinctive space for fine art photography located in the heart of Boonton, New Jersey’s vibrant Main Street.

The gallery proudly serves as the permanent home of Dennis Maida Photography, showcasing the award-winning work of founder Dennis Maida. His photography captures the quiet beauty of landscapes, minimalist design, rural Americana, and architectural wonders—inviting viewers into moments of stillness, story, and solitude.

In addition to Dennis’s ongoing exhibitions, The Covert Collection operates as a curated gallery space, hosting open calls and solo shows for both emerging and established photographers from across the country. This dual mission allows the gallery to celebrate the power of photography in two ways: through Dennis’s personal artistic vision, and through the diverse voices of the photographic community.

Set within a charming and intimate setting, The Covert Collection Gallery invites art lovers, collectors, designers, and photography enthusiasts to experience a thoughtfully curated journey through some of today’s most compelling photographic expressions.

Whether you visit to explore the works of Dennis Maida or to discover new talent through our rotating exhibitions, each visit promises a fresh and inspiring connection to the art of photography.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Covert Collection Gallery—where artistry, storytelling, and imagination come vividly to life.

“Before the World Begins”

I set out on a frigid winter morning, hoping to catch the sun
rising perfectly behind the Freedom Tower. But before that
alignment unfolded, the city offered something even more
powerful—a sky ablaze in red, casting New York’s silhouette in
quiet reverence. For a brief moment, the skyline stood still
beneath a horizon so vivid it felt unreal, as if the world was
holding its breath. This image captures that fleeting pause—
when the city has yet to stir, and the day, like the light, is full of
promise.
